Don't worry too much about the grumpiness going on at the top. There's not much you can do about it -- but you can lay the groundwork for a great review in the not-too-distant future.

It looked like my groundwork is not good. Fine, what is the ground work, i did not know but, the most funny thing is i got the mail saying:

Dear XXXX

Thank you for your continued interest in working at XXX Bangkok. The school has come to the decision NOT to proceed with your application at this time. Please DO NOT COME TO THE SCHOOL on Monday as I provisionally suggested.

I am sorry to confirm that after due consideration of your application package, you cannot be considered for employment any further by XXXX College, XXXX at this time.

Regretfully,

XXX

Underwent many works, scanning the resume and documents and this is what i got:after due consideration of your application package

What package ? I did not know. The pay ? i did not aske for it.

Fine, at this time ? What did at this time mean?

Well, i do not like to grumpy more as the horoscope said but have to look forward to another better, don't I ?

Sigh...............

Boon Pawet Festival

Hodi asked me what festival i was talking earlier in the blog, I think many are like Hodi do not know what this festival is. Well, it is called Boon Pawet.

According to the calendar, there are two days with red colour but the school and offices are not off. This is very common and make me very confused whether i should sleep till the next day lunch time or go online in the cyber cafe till midnight.

I tried to surf for more info of this festival, hardly find any, and perhaps will have to document it myself tomorrow. However, Roi-Et is the best place to see the festival, according to the school teachers, in fact, my school sent a team to Roi Et to 'borrow' the ideas of the parade and tomorrow, the town will have some funs but of course the youngsters can paint the town read, it is going to have lots of liquer selling.

From the Thailand tourism net, i got this for you but no pictures. talk about pictures, i am going to jump into the bath tub to commit suicide :((

The Boon Pawet fair is a merit-making ceremony that reflects the Buddhist belief in reincarnation. When one life ends, the soul enters another body to be born again. Prior to his life as Buddha, in one of his past lives, the Buddha-to-be (Bodhisattva) was re-born as Prince Vessandara, an episode noted as the last great incarnation before attaining Enlightenment. Hence, an occasion for Buddhist celebration.

As a teacher, Buddha - the Enlightened One, captivated his audience with words of wisdom offering parables that were picturesque and to the point. He also offered witty accounts full of humour, romance and thrills, all purporting to be memories of his past lives.
Drawing on the colours and the complex threads of his country's folklore, Lord Buddha wove for his followers a rich tapestry that unravelled the mystery of the Eight-fold Path. Some five-hundred and fifty stories of the previous lives of Lord Buddha have been documented in a famous collection of Buddhist fables known as the Jataka tales. Considered to be the most complete body of ancient folklore in the world, these have been the fairy tales of Buddhist children through the centuries.

In rural communities, merit-making fairs are as much about Buddhist rituals and traditions as cause for festive celebration. Far-sighted spiritual leaders realised that if Buddhist practices were devoid of some element of fun, there would be little incentive for followers to visit the temples. Merit-making fairs played an important role in strengthening and renewing social as well as religious ties between the temple and the local community. So once the sombre ceremonies are over with, it's time for merriment. Memories of the good time that was had by all would bring the local residents back to the temple again another day.

As i surfed more i found the Thai blog compnay, there is one blog talking about this festival.

Near Road Accident

I always wanted to talk about the traffic problem in this small town.At the same time, i also worried all the time when i was on the road. The town has not more than 2000 cars, it is crazy to worry about the safety on road. But here, it is almost similair to China life few years ago.

The traffic can be a jammed in the morning when the schools and offices begin to clock in. They all clock in at the same time. There you can see the traffic policemen, so far have not seen any police women :)) to mend the jammed situation.

How big is the town, not more than ten streets and with a small supermarket. Thus, you can imagine the jammed is brought by what sorts of problem.

Well, this afternoon was dammed hot and i went to Ah Kong's shop to seek refute with his Kopi-O, but all were sold out but he gave me a 'ket hua'tea with ice and we watched the China CCTV 4 live press fonference on the " REN DA"

As i was crossing the road back to school, a mother cris-crossed the road and nearly hit me. She was on the wrong side of the road. Can you imagine that it was the busy time agian, the schools were dismissed and the offices were over.

Thanks God, she did not drive fast and there was only a 'caress' on my arm. But it gave me a big shock.

Well, can i say much when i am in the town where traffic rules are ignored

The historical moments

Thailand is now undergone some changes. Don't worry my friends and family members back home,. I am very safe here in the Esan. They said the Esan is teh strong hole for the current ruling party.

My the other two blog companies are suffering the same agonies like the Thais. They are attacked by the virus and moving to a new data based. Thus i have no choice but to blog here and loliloso a little. :))

I came across a few interesting info here:

The national fruit of Thailand, Mangosteen contains a new group of powerful anti-oxidants called xanthones. The fruit, rind, twigs, and bark have been found to contain medicinal properties; however, the rind is the most commonly used for medicinal purposes [1].

Water

I think tomorrow the water pressure will be low. I shall not be affected because my landlord drill for the underground water for those who use the pipe water from the water company will face some disruption. I hope this would be a lesson for the restaurant especially.

The water hydrant just next to the restaurant but the staff seemed to be blind. The water gushed out and ran into the monsoon drain. I did not how long it has burst. At least, there is a minutes run judging from the water that almost flooded the half of the road.

Many of Asians people attitudes are like that 'none of my business'. Just give a call to the Fire Bridgate, and that can save the precious water.

This careless attitudes should be corrected but it is seemed not in the school curiculum.Even if it is the parents would not care about it when they see this scene.

Many years ago, the reports in Malaysia saying among the hundreds of rivers in the country only 9 were clean for consumption. What is the situation now, I don't know.

Many posters were erected to tell the people to care for the rivers but the majority were not taken to see and feel when there is not water supply.

What is the best job for the people to feel is for them to go without water for days and this would be the best lesson.
